ALUXAL 267 – MODIFIER FLUX FOR EUTECTIC ALLOYS Al-Si 7-13% HIGH TEMP.
Aluxal 267 is a high quality modifier powder flux for sodium addition in Al-Si 7-13% alloys that alters the silicon structure in the alloy and improves castings mechanical properties.
The silicon structure changes from coarse, angular, acicular crystals into fine, rounded, interconnected fibrous particles, perfectly distributed in the aluminium matrix. The main advantage is a considerable improvement of tensile strength and elongation characteristics. This modification treatment is the final phase and it is performed in the metal bath, after degassing and refining.
