DEOX BM – DEOXIDIZING TUBES
DEOX BM deoxidizing tubes are indicated for improving the fluidity of Aluminum and Manganese Bronzes.
The dissolution of the oxides (mainly alumina) contained in these alloys is always very difficult due to their high stability. The metal rich in oxides always lends itself to dissolving a greater quantity of gas and has qualitative characteristics (uniformity, microstructure, tensile strength) degraded compared to a “clean” metal.
DEOX BM has been formulated to allow the inclusions to agglomerate and separate from the metal bath, promoting their flotation on the surface of the bath for easy removal by incorporating the slag.
