METALCOTE 221 – LUBRICANT FOR METAL PARTS

Metalcote 221 is a heat-conducting release coating used for the lubrication of molds, taps, cores, pins and other moving parts of gravity dies.

Metalcote 221 can also be applied over the base coating, normally of an insulating type, to facilitate the separation of the casting from the shell. Thanks to its characteristics of resistance and non-wettability, by non-ferrous metals,

Metalcote 221 is widely used when it is necessary to lubricate and protect molds, ingot molds, tools and moving parts, subjected to attack by liquid metal and high temperatures. The product, diluted in water, can be used by immersion for the cores of the shells, in order to cool them during operation and create a thin layer of lubricating agent on the surface.
