METKOTE 101 – PROTECTIVE RELEASE AGENT

Metkote 101 is a concentrated paste, based on mineral oxides, intended for the protection of cast iron or steel tools, metal parts and refractory masonry in contact with aluminum alloys and slag.

It is particularly suitable for the protection of metal sampling cups, perforated bells for the introduction of tablets into the bath, degassing tubes, pyrometric sheaths, sensors, skimmers, ladle walls, casting channels, distribution trays, filter cassettes casting machines, ingot molds and slag presses (pressing head, slag container and ingot mould).

The product is sensitive to frost. Store at a temperature above 5°C and close the package after each withdrawal. It is possible that some products containing mineral ingredients may tend to precipitate during storage. This phenomenon is absolutely normal due to the specific density of the minerals themselves. It is important to mix the product carefully before use. If stored properly the product has a shelf life exceeding 12 months.
